San Francisco Treat

Posted on: May 27, 2009

I love this town – I do. It’s a soul sister to little old New Orleans. I’ve learned the absolutely best way to enjoy wine country (go with a wine buyer!) and we managed our bi-annual wardrobe refresher with the help of some wonderful sales.

Now, I’ve found myself with one whole day to be at loose ends in San Francisco with all too many options. I need to get serious about exploring some new trails tomorrow!

When is the Gary Danko dinner? Get the fois gras with cherries…you won’t be sorry…and don’t forgot to eat Bi Rite ice cream (salted caramel, if you please), and a morning bun at Tartine Bakery, and anything made with fish, fowl, or meat at Range restaurant…and…and…and…
If you need any suggestions to winnow your list of to-dos, let us SF bloggers know! Peeping in at Gumps is a must, as is a stop at Sue Fisher King on Sacramento Street. Ah, the list goes on and on!
Have fun!

Yep, try Sacramento Street (SFKing for sure, but head up the street and check out Anthem – amazing pieces!) or try heading over to the Marina (Chestnut and/or Union Street_ for fun shops and usually great weather. If you haven’t been to the Ferry Building downtown – it a great place to hunt around as well.

hope you’re having a great time. eat a taylor’s ahi burger for me!!

Laurel Street Blog

Nate and Louis

Well, hey there. I'm Nathan and this is the Laurel Street Blog. It's a place for talking about design, decor and DIY (with small amounts of snarkery snuck in). I'm a pretty restless guy who loves house projects and lives in a 150+ year old cottage on Laurel Street in New Orleans. Since the house always has something going on with it (or falling off of it) I'm subsequently blessed with a never-ending supply of Web content to share. Oh - and you can drop me a line anytime LaurelStreetNola@gmail.com. Enjoy!

Can I get a tweet up in here? Follow along @LaurelStreet
